a. Total fat - Total fat consists of different types of fats. They are 1.Saturated fat.
2. Polyunsaturated fat.
3. Monounsaturated fat.
4. Trans fat.
Excessive consumption of total fat can leads to increase in HDL ( high - density- lipoprotein) which helps in the transportation of cholesterol from other parts to liver which increased by consumption of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids( poly and monounsaturated fat).This is called good cholesterol.This decrease prone to cardiac diseases.
Total fat also consists of trans fat which excessive cosumption leads to raise in bad cholesterol ( LDL).This increases prone to heart disease.
b. Saturated fat -
This consumption increases both LDL ( low-density-lipoprotein) and HDL( high-density-lipoprotein).This leads to increased risk of cardiac or heart disease.
