Aging makes many changes in human body

In digestive system

  1. Aging will reduce the digestive system ability to contract and make the food particles nice forward. Aging makes this process slow down and will make food slowly move into colon . When this process slows down more water is absorbed . The effect of this is mainly constipation as it is evident in old age group
  2. Appetite and satiety is controlled by many hormone in human body. This is mainly controlled by insulin,CCK ,Gherkin,leptin, peptide tyrosine tyrosine. So these are produced after ,before and in-between food consumption and plays a role in appetite . Loss of appetite will occur due to imbalance of this hormone balance in old aged people. So this will result in less amount of food intake and lead to deficiency of many vitamin and required elements in food
