Answer #1

There are two types of immunity: Innate and Adaptive or acquired immunity. Innate immunity is the immunity which we obtained genetically that is innate immunity is congenital (by birth). Adaptive immunity is the immunity which we acquire or adapt after birth.

Adaptive immunity can be acquired by the following way:

1. Infection: An infection is followed by the activation of B cells and T cells which memorize the antigens and act quickly upon 2nd time infection.

2. Vaccination: Vaccination is the process in which inactive form of antigens is inserted into the body. Body start to produce antibodies against the antigen.

Adaptive immunity has several features that distinguish it from innate immunity. Specificity in that each adaptive immune response is induced by a particular antigen, or surface feature that generates an antibody. An innate immune response might be stimulated by a PAMP, while an adaptive immune response is stimulated by a single feature of a bacteria. In addition, cells of adaptive immunity, B and T cells, are allowed to proliferate under certain conditions to mount a defense, this feature is clonality...
