ACTH(Adrenocorticotropic hormone/Corticotropin) is a hormone produced & secreted by the anterior pituitary gland.an ACTH-secreting pituitary adenoma ---There will be large amount of ACTH.

These ACTH Acts on zona fasciculata of the adrenal glands----stimulates secretion of glucocorticoid steroid hormones like Cortisol.

ACTH Have little control over secretion of other hormone secreated from adrenal Gland.

Hormones Secreated from Adrenal Gland include-

1.Catecholamines from Medulla .

2.Androgens from Zona Reticulairs.

3.Glucocorticoids from Zona Fasciculata.

4.Mineralocorticoids from Zona Glomerulosa.
