Answer. Parathyroid gland is located in our neck at the back of thyroid gland. It has two lobes in either side of the trachea. Thus overall it is four lobed. It secretes the parat hormone.

When calcium is less in the blood parathormone brings more calcium from the bones into the blood and does more tubular absorption of calcium so thay it should not get excreted from the body. Thus, when over parathormone will be produced then required then more calcium will be withdrawn, which will cause pores in the bone making them fragile. This disease is known as osteoporosis.
