Question

Which of the following structures detects rotational acceleration or deceleration of movement?

Which of the following structures detects rotational acceleration or deceleration of movement?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The semicurcular canals present in the inner ear detect the rotational acceleration/deacceleration of the body.

There are 3 semicircular canals located in 3 planes perpendicular to each other so are able to detect rotation velocity change in every possible positon.

Note- The question seems to be a multiple choice question but the options are not provided so,I have answered it like a general question, you'll be able to solve the MCQ with this explanation ,if there is any doubt ,feel free to ask.
