Discuss what makes each tissue unique and give three specific examples

Structural difference between the different type of tissue.
1) Epithelial tissue : cells arranged compactly without extracellular matrix.
Mostly present lining the organs cavities and on surface structures.

Examples : Simple squamous, simple columnar, simple cuboidal, stratified squamous Keratinized epithelium.

2) Connective tissue:
Made up of cells and have extracellular matrix. It contains acellular collagen and elastin and reticular fibers.

Examples : Bone, cartilage, ligaments, tendons, fascia, blood

3) Muscular tissue:
Made of cellular contractile fibers arranged in bundles.

Examples : skeletal tissue, cardiac muscle, smooth muscle

- Nervous tissue:
Made of conducting cells called neurons and supporting glial cells.

Examples : Neurons, astrocytes, oligodendrocytes
