1.Inhalation- active process ( need energy)

Contraction of intercostal muscles

Contraction of diaphragm

Thorasic cavity move upward and forward

2 exhalation- passive process(no energy)

Relaxation of intercostal muscle

Diaphragm attain it's normal shape(c shape)

Thorasic cavity move downward and backward
