Terminal neurotransmitter in somatic neuron is acetylcholine which are released at neuromuscular junction. It is an excitatory neurotransmitter causing the muscle contraction.

Neurotransmitter in autonomic neuron are of two type depending upon the division.

1. Sympathetic neurons: They have norepinephrine as the neurotransmitter which is an excitatory neurotransmitter.

2. Parasympathetic neuron: It has Acetylcholine as neurotransmitter which is also an excitatory neurotransmitter.
