Fast pain is the sudden pain we experience when we suddenly get a prick on our hands with a needle and causes sudden withdrawal of hands from the stimuli. This stimuli is carried by myelinated A fibres.
Slow pain or chronic pain is carried by C fibres. These pain can resist our movement and make us fell unwell. It is a type of burning or aching type of pain. It does not have a sudden mature, but it persist for longer period.
Referred pain is the pain that is felt away from the organ affected. for example the pain of cholecystitis is felt at the scapular region and shoulder. The pain is not felt in the region of the organ but away from it. It is because the same sensory nerve fibres are supplying both the region. They are interconnected.
