Answer #1

Ans1) Aldosterone is a mineralcorticoid hormone which is produced exclusively from the zona glomerulosa of the adrenal cortex localized in the adrenal gland. The main function of the hormone is to conserve sodium and water in the kidney and helps in regulating the levels of sodium and potassium levels along with blood pressure regulation within the kidneys. It helps in stimulating the excretion of potassium and hence helps in regulating the level of electrolyte in the kidney and helps with the overall process of stabilizing and regulating the blood pressure.
