Homework Answers

Answer #1

Mother Blood Type -O-ve,that is No A antigen No B antigen No H antigen(O allele,Rh -ve)

Unborn child Blood Type-A + ve,that is presence of A Antigen and Rh Antigen.(A allele,Rh +ve allele)

Each parent donates one of their two ABO alleles to their child.

From Mother ,O allele is trasnmitted to The child.

Since the Baby have A allele,it is Transmitted from Father.

Hence Fathers ABO blood type is either A or AB.(If fathers ABO blood type was B or O,no A allele will be Present in the Child,From AB blood Group Either A ,B or AB allele can be transmitted to Child or From A blood Group,A allele can be Transmitted)

Also since the Child have Rh +ve allele,Father should have Rh +ve allele(Mother is Rh -ve)

So Rh blood Type of Father is Rh -ve

So possible Blood Type Of Father is A +ve
