· Oespohagus: Pathway for food transport

· Stomach: Acid and pepsin helps in digestion of proteins

· Rumen : Temporary storage of partially digested food for fermentation.

· Small Intestine: Site for metabolism of fats (lipase) and carbohydrates (amylase, glucosidase)

· Large intestine: Reabsorption of minerals and vitamins, temporary storage pathwayfor undigested food.
