The process described in part 3 produces carbon dioxide as a byproduct. How is carbon dioxide produced in the myocyte? (Again, your answer may be general, but in the terms of respiration.)
Myocytes are the cells found in muscle tissues which are present in cardiac , smooth and skeletal muscles.
Carbon dioxide is produced as a by product in myocytes because of cellular respiration in presnece of oxygen. In presence of oxygen , when muscle cells do work , they need energy and they get it by complete oxidation of carbohydrate in form of glucose. The complete oxidation of glucose produces energy and carbon dixoide plus water where energy is the main product which is used by muscle cells and carbon dioxide is mixed in bloostream to be exhaled.
