Myasthenia gravis is a disorder of muscular system in which the skeletal muscles gets weak. It a type of neuromuscular disorder. In this, the neuromuscular junction between the muscle and the nerves gets affected due to which the action potential doesn't reach the muscles from nerves resulting in muscle weakness.

Myasthenia gravis is a type of autoimmune disease in which body's own cells produce antibodies which attacks healthy cells of our own body.

Symptoms of this disease include difficulty in walking, speech, facial paralysis, difficulty in chewing, difficulty in breathing etc.
