an 82 year old man was admitted to the hospital after
falling and fracturing his nose, right tibia, right humerus and
distal pharynx of his right thumb. the fracture was managed
conservativly, but he was unable to be discharged because of
difficulty with daily tasks.
-Day 8 the patient has a slight pyrexia with blurring of right eye;
ophthalmologist opinion was sought.
- Day 10 unable to pass urine and became unresponsive which
prompted a cardiac arrest call. he regained cardiac output with no
intervention, and his ECG showed features consistent with a. acute
inferior MI, but all these resolved.
- Day 11 patient was transformed to ITU, where he became cyanosed
and short of breath with a bounding pulse and basal crackles in the
chest. Patient further arrested at 1400 hrs and could not be
resuscitated.

* swollen blood vessels in the skin or discoloration.

*muscle cramping.
