ANSWER- BOLUS FROM THE ESOPHAGUS
- Bolus is a mixture of saliva and food that forms in
mouth during the process of chewing. The bolus is swallowed and
travels down to stomach and starts digestion.
- Bolus moves to stomach and undergoes further breakdown
during gastric digestion. Which is not carried from there to small
intestine. Further Chyme is carried to the small intestine for
further breakdown and absorption. The other secreations involve
bile from liver and pancreatic juice from pancreas.
