Diabetes is a common disease in Rhea’s family. Her grandfather died of this disease and her dad was also recently diagnosed as a diabetic. Not only is Rhea a hypochondriac but she has truly been having symptoms of the disease (or so she thinks). She has been experiencing increased urination, frequent thirst, her urine tested confirmed her belief with the presence of sugar in her urine. Why would there be sugar in Rhea’s urine?
Answer :
Rhea is experiencing the diabetic problem and on her lab result it's been identified that the presence of sugar in her urine. The reason that Rhea's urine had sugar is because she is experiencing Diabetes melitus. It would be type I or type II , but the level of glucose in her blood would be way more higher than the normal range, cause she had this condition, there would be a problem in her insulin production or the activity of the insulin. This condition will leads to improper filtration of glucose molecules in her renal glomerulus and hence the glucose get mixed with the urine and get excreted. In order to balance the glucose level the filtration would get altered and in some condition the whole renal filtration process itself got damaged because of this condition. That's the reason that Rhea's urine show's the presence of sugar in it.
