Answer #1

High cholesterol in blood lead to the stiffening and narrowing of the blood arteries because of formation of plaque this reduces or blocks blood flow through them. Due to this the blood flow to heart and brain decreases which causes chest pain and shortness of breath which can further lead to stroke or death.

LDL is bad cholesterol and HDL is good cholesterol. Ideally, Normally LDL should be less than 100 mg/dL, HDL should be more than 60 mg/dL, total cholesterol should be less than 200 mg/dL and triglycerides should less than 150 mg/dL for healthy individuals.

In this case since Sharon has experienced heart related problems, this indicates her cholesterol levels are HIGH. Therefore Her,

LDL = >100 mg/dL (more than 100 mg/dL)

HDL = <60 mg/dL (less than 60 mg/dL)

Total Cholesterol = > 200 mg/dL (more than 200 mg/dL)

Triglycerides = > 150 mg/dL (more than 150 mg/dL)
