Explain why the timing of changes in skin temperature supports homeostasis (why does a person’s body deal with the increased heat produced with increased metabolism the way it does, considering the need to maintain Tb AND move O2 and CO2 to support increased metabolism…?).
Ans
The skin is required with thermo receptors. These receptors sense the change in temperature of the body.In cards of hyperthermia, sweat is allowed to flow through sweat gland. The released sweat evaporates and makes skin cool. This way body starts to maintain homeostasis in the temperature. During exercise, the activity of muscle is increased due to which excessive heat is produced. This heat is warded off and the body is made cool by the secreted sweat.
