Two distinct layers of skin namely are Epidermis and Dermis

Epidermis:- It is composed of epithelial tissue of keratinized stratified squamous epithelium. It has a five layers namely:-

Stratum basslle:- It is made up of basal cells. These are important in keratin secretion.

Stratum spinosum:- it is composed of keratinocytes it may be 10 layers.

Stratum Granulosum :- it is made up of granular layer. It contains keratin protein.

Stratum lucidum:- It contains elaiden protein rich in lipid.

Stratum corneum:- it is outermost layer of skin providing protection.

Dermis:- it is made up of two connective tissue, it contains blood vessels, lymphatic vessels, nerves.
