NADH produces 3 ATP- during oxidative phosphorylation where as FAD produces 2 ATP.b other NADH,FADH2 are involved in oxidative - reduction reactions in thr cells.

In electron transport chain, NADH is associated with complex1 whereas FADH2 is associated with complex 2

NADH serves as coenzyme to dehydrogenase,reductase and hydroxylase involved in glycogenolysis,krebs cycle , fatty acid synthesis, steroid synthesis

FADH is coenzyme for dehydrogenase of citric acid cycle.

Substrates for gluconeogenesis are amino acids like alanine, glutamine derived from muscle protein, glycerol derived from fatty acid, lactate from muscle
