  6. The heart was dissected following the path of blood flow through the heart. Describe that pathway, be sure to include all chambers, all valves and right and left, as the sides of the heart are very important to the flow of blood. Don’t describe each part just list and used arrows to indicate where the blood goes next. The pathway is complete circuit so be sure to come all the way back to where you started.

Answer 1- we can always feel the beats produced by our heart byby putting our hand on our chest. It acts like a giant pump. It's size is of the size of our fist.

Answer 2- atria is the upper chamber of our heart. It's small in size as compared to the ventricles.the right atria receives deoxygenated blood from superior vena cava and inferior vena cava which then enters the right ventricle through the tricuspid valve.

The left atria receives oxgentated blood from the pulmonary veins which then enters the left ventricle through the mitral valve.

Answer 3 - papillary muscles are located in the ventricles. They are connected to the valves through chordae tendinae.papillary muscles anchors the heart valves.

Answer 4 - chordae tendinae connect papillary muscles with heart valves.they are similar to fibrous cords of connective tissue.
