Intervertebral synovial facet joint is present between the T4 and T5 thoracic vertebrae.

- each of these vertebra has two superior and two inferior articular facets found on the vertebral arch, between the pedicle and lamina, which are covered in articular cartilage. Superior articular facet of T5 vertebra articulates with inferior articular facet of T4 vertebra.

Also the body of T4 rest on the body of the T5 vertebra with fibrocartilage present between the two.
