Hormones are secretions of endocrine glands which are released into the circulation in very small quantities.

For example, the normal serum levels of TSH is 0.4-4 micro IU/ ml

Normal levels of prolactin is 4-29 nano grams / ml

Similarly all hormones can have it's full action with very small quantities.

* either decreased secretions or increased secretions of hormones from its normal levels will cause problems in the body.
