COVID-19 has spread across the world and WHO has declared it as a pandemic. Its symptoms affects strongly the respiratory functions. Some of the physiological events that are occuring due to the COVID-19 are:

  1. The mostly impacted age group among humans are the old age people. This is one of the physiological changes associated with ageing.
  2. The decreased immune system is yet another physiological change that is associated with covid-19.
  3. The multimorbidity of the virus that exposes the older adults to be more prone to the infection due to COVID-19 and hence impacts them severely to suffer during the disease.
  4. The pregnant women also experience the physiological changes which make them vulnerble of getting infected with the viral respiratory disease and infections caused by COVID-19.
