Compare and contrast filtrate and blood plasma.
please type it
Blood plasma goes to the glomerulus for filtration, this process is known as glomerular filtration. Then a filtrate is formed which is called as glomerular filtrate.
Blood plasma contains red and white blood cells, glucose, nitrogenous wastes like urea, uric acid and creatinine, amino acids, vitamins, sodium and chloride ions, proteins water. These substances goes to glomerulus for filtration.
The filtrate contains all the substances of blood plasma except red and white blood cells and plasma proteins i.e red and white blood cells and proteins are absent in the filtrate. This is because blood cells and proteins are not filtered by the glomerulus due to their large size.
Blood plasma present inside the blood vessels Whereas filtrate present in the glomerular capsule.
