Dear Student,

In cases of morning sickness, medications are advised for effective treatment.

? Prescription Medication :

These are advised when there is severe morning sickness with nausea

Examples of such drugs include Zofran or Vistaril, which are available as pills.

Zofran is Ondansetron hydrochloride tablets.

Coming to the mechanism of action of Ondansetron, it's a selective 5HT3 serotonin -receptor antagonist . It acts both centrally and peripherally controlling the vomiting center and deceases the sensation of nausea and vomiting.Central action affects the area postrema , which contains the chemoreceptor trigger zone. It's peripheral action is on the vagus nerve. It can be administered orally, or by IV/IM methods.

Some Other drugs used for treatment of this condition include Dolasetron, Granisetron, etc

Hope this helps?

In this case, they have to wait between 15 minutes and one hour depending on the current workload. Most customers are not willing to wait that long, so they opt to nominate a pickup time at a later point during the day. Generally, customers drop their prescriptions in the morning before going to...
