Ans:-
Calcium Ion plays a important role in synaptic of action potential. Once action potential reach thea of nerve it opens voltage sensitive Calcium channel which causes influx of calcium into the nerve terminal. This calcium bind to synaptic vesicles which contain neurotransmitter and cause it's exocytosis bi activation of SNARE protein which help in synaptic vesicle exocytosis and released off neurotransmitter into the synaptic cleft. Once this neurotransmitter is released into the synaptic cleft IT bind with hormonal receptors present in postsynaptic membrane and brings about action potential in next neurone.
