discuss why water will always move from a hypotonic sikytion to a hypertonic one if the membrane is, permeable to water
Hypotonic solution means solution which contains less solutes and more water.
Hypertonic solution means solution which contains more solutes and less water.
If the membrane is permeable to water, water moves from hypotonic solution to hypertonic solution, because water content is more in hypotonic solution than hypertonic.
So to maintain equilibrium water moves from it's higher concentration to it's lower concentration.
This process of water movement is called Osmosis.
