Thoracodorsal nerve should be tested if we have difficulty moving latissimus dorsi.

Latissimus dorsi is help in rotational movemnt of shoulder joint such as abbduction, extension, internal rotaion, horizontal abduction. Therefore,it contributes in the movement of both thoracic and brachial arm motion.Rotation of the shoulder is possible due to attachment of latissimus dorsi on anterior humerus, teres major and pectoralis major for abdduction and medially to rotate humerus.

Suppose next that we have even less knowledge of our patient, and we are only given the accuracy of the blood test and prevalence of the disease in our population. We are told that the blood test is 96 percent reliable, this means that the test will yield an accurate positive result in 96% of the cases where the disease is actually present. Gestational diabetes affects 7 percent of the population in our patient’s age group, and that our test...

Two such developments are positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans. These scans allow researchers to “see” the brain in action. If you were showing a person words while having an MRI, what brain areas would probably be active? If a brain injury victim is unable to move the right arm, in which area of the brain would...
