PNS (peripheral nervous system) is a part of nervous system that mainly includes network of nerves (sensory & motor) all over the body organs. The function of the PNS is conduct the sensory and motor impulses between CNS and effector organs of the body via specific type of nerve.

The term somatic means distinct from mind or related body, autonomic word tells self continuation of any process and sympathetic & parasympathetic terms are related to nervous system and mean that any physiological function of the body controls anatagonistic with these.
