4. During which type of exercise do you think MAP (mean arterial pressure) would increase the most? Why?
Mean arterial pressure is referred to average blood pressure of the cardiac cycle. It is regulated by changes in cardiac output and systemic vascualr resistance. During static exercise, the mean arterial pressure increases due to changes in heart rate increase and cardiac output but it doesn't change the stroke volume or systemic vascular resistance .The static exercise causes increase in heart rate and blood pressure more than the dynamic exercise but the oxygen uptake level remains the same in both in static and dynamic exercise.
