1. Individual characteristic : Fingerprints have individual characteristic as no two fingers would have the same pattern of ridges or prints.
2. Remain unchanged : the fingerprint of a finger does not change throughout the lifetime of a person.
3. Unique patterns : they have general ridge patterns making it systematically possible to classify them.
