How would you feel if someone from a social group that you had a bias against (race, religion, sexual identity, age, nationality) saved your life through organ donation?
The number of individuals waiting for organ or tissue transplantation is increasing day by day. If my life is saved by someone against whom I had a bias due to his/her race/religion/sexual identity etc, it is only going to make me realize of an entirely wrong perception that I had all these time and would give me a lesson for lifetime to keeping humanity above all.
Giving someone life is one of the greatest gifts anyone can give. I would take the pledge to rise above all my biases and to register myself as a donor and spread awareness for organ donation as one of my life’s goal.
