The sympathetic trunk(chain)are paired bundles of nerves running between the base of the skull and coccyx .It lies along the entire length of the vertebral column along the lateral borders and they possess paravertebral ganglia, which are sympathetic.
Splanchnic nerves are the paired visceral nerves carrying both visceral efferent and afferent fibers.This also has all sympathetic fibers with the only exception of pelvic Splanchnic fibers, which are parasympathetic .
The organs innervated by it are Stomach, Duodenum, jejunum, ileum, spleen,liver, Gallbladder, Colon, Pancreas, appendix ,Kidneys ,Ureter, etc.
