Peripheral nerve cross section shows :-

Nervous tissue supported by connective tissue.

No other type of tissues are seen.

Nervous tissue includes nerve cells and neuroglial cells (schwann cell present in peripheral nerve).

Because only nervous tissue has the ability of generating and transportation of nerve impulses.

Connective supports to form nerve fibers as nerves.
