Explanation

REM phase starts after 90 min after falling sleep. Eye ball movement becomes fast and breathing,heart rate increases to the naer to waking level.Legs and arm muscles becomes temporarily paraltsed.

Non REM phase has three stages ,it occurs before REM.During stage 1 Non REM,muscle relaxation,heart beat,blood pressure ,respiratory rate and body temperature starts falling and it become at lowest by reaching at Non REM stage 3.Non REM starts from wakefulness to sleep, lighter sleep followed by deep sleep during these three stages.Eye movement stops in this period.
