Any disruption in the normal functioning of the heart and the blood vessels due to a pathology is a cardiovascular disease.
the main function of the heart as an organ is to pump pure oxygenated blood at a particular pressure to the rest of the body which is carried by the arteries to tissues . Then the tissues send back deoxygenated blood back to the heart to go to the lungs to be purified.
Any disruption in this basic functioning can be called as a cardiovascular disease.
