Answer #1

A hypothesis is an educated guess. It can be correct or incorrect. It has to be confirmed by experimental work.

A scientific law is the description of an observed phenomenon. It does not explain what causes the phenomenon or why does it exist. A law is simply an output of repeated observations. It is limited in applicability to conditions similar to the original experimental conditions.

A scientific theory provides the explanation for a theory.
A theory may become obsolete with time due to new experimental work. This does not hold true with a law. A theory may be weak or strong based on the available evidence, However, a law is a universally observable fact.
