Meningitis is the inflammation or swelling of meninges of brain and are of different types (infectious & non-infectious) but two infectious forms caused by virus and bacteria most chronic. However, bactrial meningitis caused by "Nesseiria meningitidis" is more infectious and fatal. For treatment of this some meningococcal vaccines have given to persons of all the ages to provide boosting immunity in them against bacterial meningitis.

Some common symptoms like vomiting, altered brain, nausea & sensitivity to light has been seen in the patients.
