The role of vitamin plays in metabolism are they act as a necessary component of healthy diets and plays a important role in cellular metabolism. The vitamins are considered as micro nutrients. The vitamins are of two types, they are water solluble vitamin and fat soluble vitamin or also called as B vitamin. This B vitamin helps the muscles and other tissues to metabolize protein , liver and other tissues to metabolize fat, bone tissues to make new blood cells and brain and other tissues metabolize carbohydrates.

The role of minerals in the metabolism are , they are essential for the proper function of cells , tissues and organs . Also helps to build strong bones, transmits nerve impulses and are also used to make hormones and maintain a normal heart beat. The minerals that our body needs are sodium, potassium, calcium, chloride, phosphorus, magnesium and sulfur.
