The major source of energy for the muscle tissue is the ATP molecule. this ATPmolecules are produced as a result of cellular respiration in which the glucose is catabolized to carbon dioxide by the release of ATP molecule(oxidative phosphorylation)

So, if the glucose uptake of the muscle is blocked , there will loss of muscle tissue

The glucose uptake to the liver celll is blocked. so the liver will start to oxidise the long chain fatty acid for the production of energy
