ECG has a total of 12 leads of which 6 chest leads are there v1- V6 and limb leads aVR,aVL ,aVF and 1,2,3

These are placed to get the view of heart and the electrical activity

II, III, and aVF are the leads that are used to view the inferior surface of the heart

V1 -V4. Are the leads used to view the anterior surface of heart

I, aVL, V5, and V6 are the leads used to view the lateral surface of heart

V1 and aVR: right atrium and cavity of left ventricle

V1- and V2 are the septal or posterior leads
