Formed elements are produced by:

stem cells in the bone marrow

stem cells in the stomach

stem cells in the liver

stem cells in the spleen

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Ans.- Stem cells in bone marrow.

The formed elements are cells and cell fragments suspended in the plasma. The three classes of formed elements are the erythrocytes (red blood cells), leukocytes (white blood cells), and the thrombocytes (platelets).

Formed elements of blood are formed from multipotent hematopoietic stem cells in the red bone marrow by the process of hemopoiesis . Here hemopoietic stem cells differentiate into myeloid and lymphoid lineages and thus subsequently into RBC , WBC & platelets.
