Discuss the theories of early primate evolution. Give me the name of each theory, what it states, and how it applies.

There are 2 theories of early primate evolution.

1) Arboreal Theory - This theory says that the primates developed from forefathers by adapting to the arboreal life.The primates also evolved feet and hands which are efficient in clutching.This is a consequence of arboreal life,that need a large deal of crawling through branches and holding out for fruits.

2) Visual predation Theory - This theory states that the primates are developed from very small mammals that existed in the bushes seen in forest floor.For capturing insects, these very small mammals will utilize their hands.
