It is made up of type 1 collagen molecules and this provides the strength and structural integrity to the bones .

When denaturation occur it will lead to destruction or conversion of type 1 collagen to type 2 etc.

So when denaturation of collagen occur the bone will become more loosely packed which is a specific characteristics of type 2 college. This will lead to High risk for fracture of bones.

Rigidity of collagen tissues depends on the mineralisation process . When denaturation occur it will lead to low rigidity of college and reduced mineralisation process of the bones .

So when denaturation of collagen occur it will lead to high susceptible for fracture
