When viewing an object that is positioned 40° to the left of center (i.e., using peripheral vision), how well should you be able to perceive color? Explain your answer in terms of retinal cones.

Answer #1

When viewing an object that is place 40 degree to left from center the Colour of vision will be low .

The colour of vision is perfect up to 30 degree from the central point of fixation of eyes but some colour can be seen . After 50 degree from central point if fixation it is not possible to view colour. So in this case it is 40 degree so some colour can be viewed

This occur because when we observe on object that are at the periphery of retina then this area has few retinal cones at these region . Cones are the reason for colour vision in our eyes and peripheral region lack this cones leading to less colour or complete colour blindness. It will not be possible to distinguish between colours

Seurat was an impressionist painter who painted using little dots of color--- when an observer steps back away from the paintings, the colors of the dots "blend" in the eye and the observer perceives a continuous picture. Seurat's dots were about 2 mm in diameter, with a separation between the dots also about 2 mm. The color sensitive cells in your retina have a sensitive area with a diameter of about 1?m and you can assume they have a separation...

A. The human eye 1. Whenever a normal eye forms an image, the image distance will always equal the distance from the cornea and eye lens to the retina (~25 mm), regardless of how far away the object is located. Explain why the image distance cannot change. 2. If the image distance must change, then what intrinsic property of the eye lens must change in order for the eye to focus on objects at different distances? Hint: read the Introduction....

Once the music signal reaches your speakers, it must somehow be converted into sound. Discuss how the signal from question 2 is converted into...
