which of the following are brush border enzymes?

dextrinase, lactase and sucrase

amylase, lipase, trypsin

None of the above can be found there.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Answer ; dextrinase, lactase and sucrase.

Reason ; the most significant enzymes which are located on the inner walls of that small will and doing the digestion and absorption process within the intestine are considered as a enzymes that are mentioned in the given statement. Among thegiven option dextrinase is the most common and very essential one. Lipase , trypsin and disaccharidases are not really considered as this type of enzymes. Hence the option 2 and 3 are incorrect. But the above mnetioned option includes all enzymes that belongs to this variety. Therefore the above mentioned option ian appropriate one.

Salivary amylase and pancreatic amylase play very similar roles in breaking down carbohydrates in food. Which of the following offers the most reasonable explanation for why humans need both enzymes?: (A) Salivary amylase rapidly digests starch, whereas the pancreatic amylase rapidly digests cellulose. (B) Salivary amylase is inactivated in the stomach due to low pH and further carbohydrate digestion is required in the small intestine. (C) Salivary amylase is only functionally active in combination with the mechanical action of chewing,...
