ALS ( amyotrophic lateral sclerosis ) , also known as motor neuron disease or Lou Gehrig's disease is a disease that causes the death of neurons responsible for controlling voluntary muscle movement .

Symptoms of ALS :-

Muscular :-

  • Muscle weekness
  • Muscular cramps
  • Problems with coordination ,
  • Stiff muscles
  • Muscle spasm

Whole body :-

  • Fatigue or feeling faint

Speech : -

  • Difficulty in speaking or vocal cord spasm
  • Slurred speech

Common symptoms :-

  • Difficulty raising the foot ( weekness in your leg , feet and ankles )
  • Hand weekness or clumsiness
  • Twitching in arms , shoulders and tougue
  • Difficulty in swallowing
  • Uncotrollable periods of laughing or crying
  • severe unintentional weight loss
